PT, Co-Owner

I am the proud founder and co-owner of Greater Brunswick PT. I first became interested in physical therapy in high school, when I chose to study PT for a special project in a sophomore biology class. After going to a hospital to observe, I was deeply touched and felt that this was the right calling for me-to actively participate in helping others to heal. Physical therapy mirrors who I am as a person-very active and vigorous in my pursuit of physical fitness and someone who enjoys all the fun that life has to offer.

I graduated from Northeastern University in 1984 with a degree in Physical Therapy. After working for years in various hospital settings I wanted to create a warmer, more cheerful and relaxing environment for patients and staff. So in 1988 I started Greater Brunswick PT. My goal has always been to treat individuals with a greater depth of caring, to honor the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit and to touch the hearts of those who come here for help. It is my privilege to do so.

In addition to helping people in their healing, my other passions include: motherhood, dancing, spiritual and intellectual growth, teaching, hiking, kayaking, water skiing, and gardening. Honoring the sacredness in all, I especially love being and playing in nature.

Training and Education

"I'm Glad I Chose Greater Brunswick Physical Therapy."
~Paul Monroe, Brunswick

Massage therapy student, Paul Monroe, chose to see Donna Maria Bordeaux at Greater Brunswick Physical Therapy's satellite clinic in Harpswell as part of his experiential training for the Downeast School of Massage. "The therapy room, with it's views of Casco Bay and artful decor more felt more like a comfortable place to hang out than a clinic. Donna Maria used a number of manual techniques to fine-tune areas of resistance in my body. I hadn't gone in with any specific complaints, but I came away with more openness in my shoulders and sacrum. She also opened my chest and abdomen through myofascial work on my right arm and rib cage, allowing me to breathe deeper and more smoothly than I have since I was a kid."
