Steve enjoys his time in the workplace environment and managing orthopedic injuries at the shipyard. He has worked in Industrial Health for over 15 years, with his recent focus on Core Stabilization Training and A Biomechanical Approach to Common Overuse Syndromes and Musculoskeletal Injuries.
Steve’s background lies in differential diagnosis and implementation of a treatment plan for common trunk, as well as, upper and lower extremity overuse syndromes. This involves a skillful and holistic approach including identifying ergonomic risk factors, utilizing manual techniques and modalities for symptom reduction, providing instruction in proper body mechanics and postural correction, and applying an exercise regime to restore range, strength and stability with the ultimate goal of returning the client to their job and leisure activity.
