I found my way to Maine after traveling here to visit for about 10 years. I grew up in a small town in upstate New york and started to travel to Maine in my early twenties. I would spend time camping, hiking, biking, kayaking and going to the beach here. I just fell in love with it and I haven’t looked back, it’s been 18 years now.
After many years of working as a nurse (pediatric nurse) I felt like it was time for a change and had been interested in massage for as long as I could remember. After finishing the massage program I realized this is what I am supposed to be doing.
I’m thankful to say I’ve been a therapist for 15 years now. I love helping people with massage. Most of my massage experience is medical-based and repetitive-stress related injuries. I enjoy helping people in general and love to work with the my hands. My work tends to be very focused and detail-oriented to what injury or pain-related issue the person is having.
The program I studied included Swedish, Deep tissue, Neuromuscular, Hot Stone, Trigger point therapy, Active release and a prenatal course that I took as an adjunct.
