Emily Mauch grew up in the small town of Red Hook, New York. She attended State University of New York at Geneseo where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology degree. After completing her undergraduate degree, Emily worked as a nurse’s assistant in a labor and delivery unit at Northern Dutchess Hospital. In this position, Emily gained an appreciation for the interprofessional medical team and inspiration to continue her education in the medical field. Emily’s passion for dance and yoga, and inherent interest in movement, led her to pursue a career as a physical therapist. Additionally, Emily’s years of experience teaching dance and swim lessons to children made her interested in pediatric physical therapy. Emily graduated from the University of New England in Portland, Maine with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. During her final year of graduate school, Emily was a LEND (Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities) trainee. In this role, Emily received training to expand resources for people with neurodevelopmental disabilities in the state of Maine. Emily is happy to be a part of the Greater Brunswick Physical Therapy team where she works in the school-based setting with children and at the outpatient clinic.
In her spare time, Emily greatly enjoys attending yoga class. She incorporates her experience with yoga into her physical therapy practice. Emily loves to cook and is happiest sharing meals surrounded by family and friends. Emily loves all things related to crafting and can often be found scrapbooking, sewing, or any other creative project.
